MENTAL NOTE
One: Buy insect repellent. The mosquitoes in this part of the world are huge and very annoying.
Two: Get a booster shot for all kinds of diseases. Yes, I know I gave the girls all sorts of shots before the trip, but… you never know.
Three: Call Marta to check that everything is fine at home. She might have forgotten to pay the taxes.
Four: Call the girls' school to make sure everything is ready for the end-of-year play.
Five: Call the store and reserve those beautiful curtains I saw before traveling.
Six: Enjoy these vacations. My therapist already said it: I have to enjoy my rest. I’ll do that.
Seven: Remember to always take a map when I stray from the main group.
Great, I’ve got the list. Now I just need to figure out how to get out of these quicksands.
