WILD OFFERING
Once, a human came with an axe and took the flesh of the trees, leaving nothing in return.
Another time, more men came, with more axes, and they destroyed everything, from the oak to the thornbush. They left nothing.
Then, men came riding machines and tore deep into the wounds of the earth, and again, they left nothing.
This last time, the fires from their hands devoured our children and their sorrows.
Now, we are thinking of going to the city. But, unlike them, the forest is generous... We plan to bring claws and teeth, and we will leave them an offering they will never forget.
